AnswerToro makes some great products. This model gets mixed reviews on Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/Toro-20017/dp/B00026041). Some Toro Lawnmowers use Tecumseh engines that might have been recalled due to fuel line problems. If you are serious about this unit, call Tecumseh directly at (888) 271-4048 and ask them if their recall applies to the engine in this Lawnmower engine. If it is, they will inspect and if necessary repair the engine. FYI: A yellow dot on the fuel line under the tank indicates the engine was repaired.
Consumer Reports Magazine does annual ratings on these machines. Toro gets high marks from them for its low repair history -- meaning it rarely breaks down. Worst ratings there were Yard Man, Snapper and John Deere.
But Consumer Reports was blown away by Honda's Model HRX217KVKA Lawnmower. Selling for $630, this unit was 'Excellent overall. Excellent bagging and mulching. Very good handling, ease of use, and evenness of cut.'
You'll also need a DROP SPREADER, to put down Grass Treatments. They're not expensive.
It is very important to make your Garden a nice place for the Birds. Get a Birdbath and keep it filled with fresh, clean water all summer. A Birdfeeder will keep them visiting your house -- and they will eat all the insects in your Garden.
Congratulations on your new home. Let me know if you need any more help with this, Saroj!
