QuestionWhat can I do to get rid of one single fat little mouse that has eaten a foot wide strip around my back yard. I have sprinkled rat poison in the dining areas but that doesn't seem to bother it. I do worry about harming birds and lizards. I don't know what to do. At the rate of it's consumption I won't have any lawn by the end of summer.
AnswerHi Andrea;
All dem little furbearing pests, mice, rats, moles, squirrels cannot STAND Ceyenne pepper.
It irritates their little noses, and they will leave.
You can make a tea od HOT dried peppers to spray around the yard, and it will not affect the birds, and I don't think the lizards.
But for sure, if you sprinkle ceyenne pepper around it will chase it.
If you have cats or dogs it will irritate them too, and also humans if they sit on the ground or get close enough to sniff it up into their nostrels.
You can find some other humane ways to get rid of pests at.
