QuestionHi Charlotte,
I live in Plano and saw your wonderful organic solution here. I just have one question about your solution: does sugar attract ants to your yard? Thanks.
AnswerHi Harrison;
Nope, because you water it in so it disolves,in fact, when you get all that little lawn livestock built up, they will eat all the ants as well as the other harmful insects, even the fire ants.
Meantime, if you get fire ants, chop some orange peels and drop them around the mounds. Those fire ants will be gone in a matter of hours.
Orange oil is the main inredient in the effective fire ant controls.
I have been on this organic program for about 10 years, and I haven't seen a weed rear it's ugly head in my yard in about 8 years now.
Even the poison ivy in the back alley. I put sugar out there for about 3 seasons, and the poison ivy has been gone for about 4 years now.
I don't have to tell you all the weeds I battled here before.
If it is a weed, we get it in North Texas.LOL
