how do i calculate square footage for sodding. i don't know how to get the measurements. Thanks.

Hi Dabbs;
Multiply the length times the width.
If you don't have a long pull out tape, you can get one at any hardware store, or Walmart etc.
If your lawn is not even oin the sides, like a triangle shape etc, You can get a fairly close estimate.
If you are contracting with a Landscaping company to do the work, THEY are the ones to measure it and calculate the amount you need.
If you are buying the sod to do it yourself, measure as closely as you can, get some sod, and you can always go back and get a little more if what you get is not enough.
