is it beter to plant grass seed in spring or fall.  We have removed trees and would like to sow grass

I don't plant seeds, so I really don't know that much about growing grass from seeds.I have looked up information about it for several questioners.
Different types of grass has to be seeded at different times.
The temperature is one factor.
Some seeds can be planted in cooler soil, and some need the soil much warmer to germinate.
It also depends on the area you live in, and the climate there.
Your bst information for planting in your area would be from a local nurseryman.
When I search for info for people, they have told me what area they live in.
I put ,  lawn grasses in ( that area) in my search engine, and the sites I get up usually give about all the information needed.

Anyway you can think of putting the question, and you will get a bunch of links to check out with each question.
Usually you will get the state agricultural college sites to check out.
