Question
I am a relatively new homeowner and plan on putting my house on the market come spring.  I need to seed/sod one side of the house (receives most of the sunlight) and a hill in the back yard that runs the length of the house.  Am I too late in the season?  The plan would be to get it done this week.  Any help would be appreciated.

Tom, IT IS TOOOOOO LATE.

You missed the boat this year.

Wait for spring.

Even if the weather now is balmy and beautiful - but I do think I heard something about snow out in Colorado? - you are taking a big, big risk.  You cannot count on Global Warming to make this happen now.  Neither Seed nor Sod will have any time to build roots AND prepare for winter.

Sod those areas in the spring with the house on the market.  Don't waste your money and your energy doing it wrong.  This is something you should have done last month at the LATEST.  I'm not even sure if Missouri is colder than that - September is the best time.
