How much sugar per square foot? I have sandy soil and live on the Gulf Coast.

I use 4 pounds per 1000 sq.ft.
Organics works in any type of soil, and continually works on emproving the soil.
I used chemical lawn products for over 40 years before I tried organics.
After seeing what just sugar did for my lawn, I started this spring, learning even more about organic things to add to make it even better.
I have used alfalfa meal and lava sand. They did make a little bit of difference, but not nearly as dramatic a difference as using sugar and nothing else did.
For 8 or 9 years, I have had no weeds, insects or problems.
My lawn critters eat up all the bad inscets, and the grass stays weedfree and lush, because of the richness of the soil.
I use baking soda disolved in water for fungus.
1 rounded Tablespoon per gallon of water.
I use fresh herbs inside my house to kep insects out.
