using sugar on lawn

Question
I would like to know in detail how and when to use sugar on my lawn and what are the benefits of it?

Answer
Hi Barbara;
All sugar does is nourish the beneficial microbes that enrich your soil.
I use 4 pounds per 1000 sq.ft. and I just broadcast it by hand and water it in. I use it in the spring and fall, but you can do it anytime you like.
Unlike chemical fertilizers that need to be put down at a certain time. And unlike chemical fertilizers, if you get too much in one spot, it does not burn or do any harm to your grass.
These microbes work round the clock the year round, enriching your soil.
Chemical fertilizers kill these microbes, and other beneficial insects that feed on other harmful insects.
Beneficial nematodes eat fleas and other insects.
Make a healthy enviornment with no chemicals put down, and you will attrach toads and lizards, and grass snakes that will eat all the grubs, slugs, ants, army worms, aphids, and all the other harmful insects that will ruin your lawn.

Weeds like poor soil, and will not thrive in roch soil, so stay away from the chemicals, give sugar to nourish the beneficial microbes, and if weeds even come up, they will start to die out right away.
Water deeply to encourage a deep root system. That protects from heat, cold and drought danage, and prevents thatch.
It is just so much easier and less costly to go the organic route, and the results are so much better than with the chemicals.
Anything you want to know about organic products and insect and pest repellants, just write me. I am very happy to share.
