QuestionI planted sod, dwarf fesue, in March. It has been doing great. About 1 month ago it started getting brown in spots, and has spread to a larger and larger area. It now is becoming bare in that area. Any idea what it could be?
AnswerHi Ellen;
Sounds like brown patch, a fungus.
Treat it with baking soda disolved in water. about 1/4th cup baking soda per gallon to 2 gallons of water, and spray the area. You can also treat with corn gluten. Corn gluten has a lot of nutrients in it, and is also a great fungicide.
