Question
Do you have a suggestion on an all year grass? Weather here in N. Alabama is probably similar to your area. Winters are usually mild. Summers are hot. Rainfall is unpredictable. Sometimes we go for weeks with little rainfall, and then will get 6" of rain in a few days. The area that the grass is going to grow in is 85' wide by 200' deep. There is no shade.

I personally like St.Augustine.
It has a wide blade, and when it is thick and lush, it is like walking on a plush carpet.
does St. augustine do well in your area?
Burmuda is a good hardy grass.
With the organic program, my st. augustine feels so nice to walk on. It is so thick, and no weeds, and it stays green a week or two longer than the chemical gardeners' lawns in the neighborhood, and greens up sooner in the spring.
