Thank you for your time. I have a shady spot in my back yard where I am thinking of putting down sod. What sod works good for partly shady yards?

AnswerYour best bet is to use fine fescues (hard, chewing, creeping red). However, even these grass types are only shade tolorant and not shade loving (no grass is) and therefore if it is very dark, grass may never grow there. But if it still get some sun, it should be ok.
