Dear Charlotte,

Thank you for your previous help with crape myrtle.
Do you know how to rid lantana of lacebug (not lace wing) infestation?  All the leaves dried up and turned a silvery color.  It appears mature bug and web on underside of leaves.  All the flowers died also.
Thanks again, Ruth

Answer
Hi Ruth;
All I could find out about diseases on lantana is they are subject to infestations of white flies and spider mites.
cut off a piece with the web on it, and take it to a nursery and ask them to identify it.
I found a site, while searching for spider mite pictures, and I may have found your black spots.
Check out this page, and see if this is what you have on your crepe myrtle. Read about thripes.

Below is a page that has a popup with a picture of white fly infestation.
It is in Spanish, but temporarily allow the popup, and you will get a full screen picture of white fly infestation on leaves.

I have never had this on any plants, and now that I have the organic progrm going, my critters devour these and other pests before they do any damage, or I see any signs of them.
Hope these pages help you.
Charlotte
