Why does my entire lawn look as if it is going to seed?

The suspense is killing me, Mitzi, please clarify what you mean when you say your lawn appears to be going to seed.  




Mitzi, Can you explain what you mean by this?  What exactly does the grass look like that makes it appear to be "going to seed"?

The only grass I know that looks like that has not been mowed.  

Is it turning a uniform tan color, gold all over the yard?  

Please advise!  I can probably help you, but I need more details.
