Sugar and Insecticide

Question
I don't even know what kind of bugs I have.  All I know is that there is a lot...I see spiders, ants, mosquitoes, some little bugs and big bugs.

What about when Terminix comes out to spray around the outside of the house and inside the house.  They don't do the yard, but they do the outside of the house.  Any damage there?

Also, what do you know about keeping dogs and cats out of my yard and off of my lawn?

Hello,  I can't tell you how many people have so complimented my yard and have wanted to know what I did to improve it so drastically.

I know that the insects will eventually go away, however, this is not something I can be so patient with.  If I spray insecticide on my yard, will this unravel my sugar process?
Answer -
Hi sue;
Yep, the insecticide will kill all the beneficial insects and little lawn critters.
Write me what kind of insects you are trying to get rid of. Maybe I have an herb remedy or something natural.

Answer
Yep, they do. any chemicals you use will damage your organic program.
We had termites when we bought this house 40 years ago, and we had Terminex come out and spray.
Since then I have used cedar to keep them away, and haven't had a termite in the house since.
We did see some in a tree stump after it died, after we cut the tree down. I brushed some cedar oil over thetop surface of the trunk, and my husband made another cut further diown in about 2 days, and there was not a sign of a termite.
I sprinkle cedar bark mulch all over the yard because it repels a lot of insects, and I put a trail of it all around the foundation of the house about 1 inch high and 2 inches wide.
Cedar repels a lot of insects, so if you get some bark mulch and throw it all over the yard, it should chase a good deal of thiose insects in a few days.
You don't need solid coverage, just enough for that aroma to get all over. I broadcast it by hand, and just scatter ir thinly all over.
If your yard is chemical free, and it is healthy for lawn critters, and you don't have any yet, you can capture some and introduce them to your yard.
Friends that have them in their yard might be aggreeable for you to set some cage traps to catch some of them.
At most large nurseries, you can buy beneficial insects to release in your yard.
You can even order them from sites on the web.
Just put  buy beneficial insects in a search engine, or go to this site, it is a good site for ordering or finding out about organic remedies, but they don't have a lot of info about using the things you already have, they just refer you to sites that sell organic remedies, and plants that solve the problems. go to
