Question
Wondering if there are any "home remedies" for killing lawn weeds. I used to use a well known weedkiller but quit emplying that method for obvious reasons. Alas, the weeds are starting go take over and I'd like to find some cheap, effective methods to keep them at bay.

As a matter of fact the best and most effective means of weed removal does not require any amount of chemical and will cost you nothing but a few hours of your time.  

Hand removal.  By no means am I trying to be smart.  This is the best and most effective means of weed control.  A healthy turf stand with good fertility and cultural management practices is a close second.  Chemicals come in third.

I know I havent answered your question as far as "home remedies".  However, in my opinion, these are the best ways to control weeds.  I am unaware of any "home remedies" that will actually work.
