QuestionI live in St. John's Newfoundland. I have five large maples that this year have produced an exceptionally large number of new seedlings that seem to have taken over my lawn. What can I do to stop their growth so that my grass can grow?
AnswerAre you looking to stop the growth of the seedlings or the large trees? The seedlings will die after a few mowings, the trees are a tougher to handle. About the only way to control the trees other than a severe pruning are removal.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
