After raking the entire property this spring I have found that 40% of my lawn died. I am overrun with crab grass currently and desparately need to seed the large amount of bare spots left by the dead grass. I discovered yesterday that I have grubs too. What do I use to kill the grubs and when can I seed? Can you please tell me exactly what to use and in what order. This is my first lawn.
Answer -
alright laura,
first you want to get some GRUB X your can purchase it any were , spread that on you lawn, alow it to soak in with rain or sprinkler.
now after that to tackle your dead lawn depending on your energy level, you can do one of these things:
1. rent a tiller and turn over and re seed your lawn
2. turn over you dead spots by hand and re seed them
questions, please reply i would love to hear from you
thank you....do I need to fertilize at the same time I re-seed? once the grass comes up what do I put on it to maintain it and when do I put it on?
Answeronce your lawn has reached a fairly high status apply a light coat of fertilizer,
to maintain:
water reguarly during seedind but do not flood
gub ex every spring
winterizer at the end of the season
any question in the future i can help you with feel free
