How do you kill ants in your lawn after there is lawn damage and before you put new grass down. We live in Oak Lawn, Ill 60456

Check the insecticide section of the garden center isles. They have products for outdoor insect control

Try "Ortho Home Defense MAX Insect Killer Granules" which is labled to control ants, too. It comes as granulles which are spread evenly over the entire lawn.

You can also try "Bayer Advanced Powerforce Fireant Killer" (or "Bayer Advanced Powerforce Multi-Insect Killer Grannuels")

If you can not find any of the two above products, check any product labled for ants (check back of lable) but make sure that it is rated for outdoors.
