QuestionlIVE IN NORTH HOUSTON 77340 i HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GROW A LAWN FOR 3 YEARS AND ALTHOUGH IT IS COMING IN . i DO NOT LIKE WHAT I AM SEEING. i HAVE MASSES OF CLOVERS, ONE BROWN SPOT AND ON ONE SIDE OF THE HOUSE STICKERS. dO i NEED TO START OVER?

AnswerIf the lawn is starting to come in there is no need to start over. Use "Round-Up" to spray clover (or use a fertilizer w/broadleaf weed control, aka "weed-and-feed" fertilizers in early summer).
Rake stickers. The grass will spread through most of them, but giving the grass a head start is not bad.
The single brown spot can be due to lots of reasons. To be safe, dig it out, and replant small pieces of grass into the spot (you can cut out a 1 x 1 foot from wherewhere else - get the roots, too - and then cut this piece into small 3" x 3" plugs. Plant the plugs evenly spaced within the brown spot).
