QuestionAm I supposed to "roll" the dirt when I plant new grass seed? If so, before or after I rake in the seeds?
Thanks for the help
Jim
AnswerGood soil/seed contact is key to successful seeding. This can be accomplished by rolling the lawn (with a roller half full with water) after seeding. You can also walk on the lawn or use the back of a rake to stamp the seeds down (for smaller areas). Do this after the seeds have been applied.
