QuestionCould you tell me what to put on the grass to stop black beetles eatting the roots. The Beechgrove Garden mentioned it but i cannot remember what it was called. Also could you tell me who stocks it in the East Kilbride area.
Thank you.
AnswerGood morning Ian:
It has taken me awhile but I finally found that East Kilbride is in Scotland. You see because the Internet is so vast you have reached me in central Illinois U.S.A. It doesn't really matter because the black beetles you describe must be one of two pests that damage the turf. We call them Billbug or Chinch Bug. They have different names depending on where you live.
I am going to give you some web sites that describe them and tell you what you must do to control them. It may be too late this year in your area so please keep the information handy so that you can refer to them next year.
