QuestionHi,
This year my lawn has developed a problem. For some reason there are two spots in my yard where water will not drain from. Because of this, the grass is dying in those spots. Do you have any suggestions that may help? I have tried aerating the yard with spiked shoes. That did not work. Some one mentioned adding sand to the spots where the water is standing. I have never had this problem in the past. I am not sure what to do. Thanks for your help.
AnswerHi Eric;
This is really simple to cure. Just put good soil in to fill up the low spots, and then seed or plug in grass, or if the area is not too large, and your grass is a type that spreads by runners, like St. Ausustine, Burmuda etc, jusr water well and let it spread to fill in.
I would buy Landscaper's Mix, or Planter's Mix, and mix 2 parts the Mix and 1 part topsoil. Mix them together and fill in the low spots.
