QuestionLake City, Colorado
I'm wondering if you have any advice for repairing grass that has been killed by animal urine. I have a dog, and I also am frequently visited by large groups of deer, so my lawn gets a fair amount of pee on it. This results in large spots of dead grass, each of which is circled with a bit of very green grass. No amount of watering seems to be effective in bringing the grass back, even when the rest of the lawn flourishes. Any advice? Thanks
AnswerGood Morning Dan:
I also am faced with a similar problem. We have two miniature Schnauzers that not only spot the yard but occasionally tear out the good grass. A concentration of animal urine is nothing more than taking a handful of high nitrogen fertilizer (manufactured with urea) and dropping it in one spot on the lawn.
Try the web site below. I'm sure it will answer your questions better than I could.

If I had to choose between the lawn and the dogs it would be the dogs.
Have a good lawn!
