AnswerHi John;
What an imagination!!!!!!
Well, better paint a few wrinkles on Madonna, I think my oldest child is older than her, but I did kick up a bit of dust in my day.LOL
Don't kick so high now.LOL
After I started putting down the sugar, the next spring some weeds came up, but not nearly so many, then after about the third year, they just don't even come up any more. Those of us in the neighborhood who use the sugar have lawns that stay greener longer in the fall and green up faster in the spring.
All my family were either farmers or cattle ranchers, one aunt and uncle had a horse ranch.
I loved riding horses.
My dad was an old country vet, and farmed as well.I had animals and gardening all around me for as long as I can remember.
I have an Australian Shepherd that I took as a foster dog, and kept (I foster animals for several rescue groups). I think he is a farmer too, because he digs in my back yard, constantly. He is the first dog I have ever seen who, when he digs and throws up a clod, turns and tries to catch it before it hits the ground.
Yep, best to do the sugar when no neighbors are at home, or after dark, cause they will hoot at you pretty good, until they see how your lawn beauties up.
Good on ya for going back to nature to protect mother earth.
Regards
Charlotte
