Questiontell me an effective way to kill moss
growing between my patio slabs
regards jak
AnswerMoss is a fungus, and it grows where it is damp, and there is not enough sun to kill it out.
Try pouring white vinegar on it. That will kill grass between cracks etc,And it will help kill fungus.
Vinegar, and baking soda disolved in water are good fungicides. Either of these may work for you, but if the moss is a more stubborn variety, you may have to but some fungicide at your nursery.
Clorox is a superb mold killer, and some mosses are about the same as molds.
It would do a better job, if the moss is a taller type, and not just the slime on a rock type, digging it out with an edger before treating with the vinegar, or the baking soda and water might get rid of it better, and more permantly.
You may have to treat this every once in a while, after a heavy rain etc. Or if it is possible to trim out some tree limbs, or clear away whatever is giving the shade, so sun can get to it, it would help to keep it away.
If vinegar, clorox, baking soda in water, and fungicide don't work, I cannot think of anything else.
Good luck. Let me know which one works, it will help me advise someone else who may have the same problem.
