I started all my seeds in organic miracle grow soil and all my vegetable plants started getting a disease. It started with one and now it is all of them. They were all organic seeds...tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, watermelon, peas. I have sprayed them with Safer Insect killing soap for organic gardening and Copper Fungicide for organic gardening. This has not helped at all please help.
AnswerDear Nina:
Starting seeds can be a challenge when one would think it's such a straightforward and simple process. Two of the most common issues are: over watering and dampening off. In addition, one should practice good sanitation and hygiene methods similar to those practiced in a "clean room" environment; for example making sure the tools and containers used have been sterilized to prevent disease and viruses in the newly planted seed.
I think it would be helpful if you visited the website I've listed below. It provides some valuable basis information and pictures on seed starting and care:

In addition, you will find an entire series on Seed Starting 101 links at this site which should prove to be valuable in your future seed starting ventures. I would suggest to you that you thoroughly review the aforementioned materials and then start another batch of seed.
Good luck and happy gardening.
Sincerely,
