QuestionHi! About two days ago I went to the store and bought my self two blueberry plants. They came in a box and appear to be just some twigs(no buds) and there is a bag filled with soil at the base. I was wondering how to care for these blueberries organically. (basic care, soil, light, water, etc.)Also how long will it be until the plants flower and produce fruit?
AnswerBlueberries want acid soil, so get a soil test kit and check the pH. They like it at about 4 or 5 pH. Then find a day with partial afternoon shade and plant them in loamy soil. Mulch and water. They like moist but not wet soil.... spread out the roots and plant them over a hump of soil, and make sure where the stem meets the roots is the soil like. You are good to go...
