composting with worms

Question
Dear Vicky and Frank,I need to know about feeding worms kitchen waste.I asked expert Greg/composting and he broke down how you need a 30-1 ratio (green vrs.brown matter)for compost piles but he was not as sure about worms and said I should ask another expert. Here goes..I want to put compost/kitchen scraps into a blender and liquify it so it is broken down to a smaller mass, easier to digest.Drain off water(save to pour on compost)and feed muck to worms. Also,I read of people putting banana peels with roses, egg shells w/tomatoes,why put solid waste, can't mush be eaten by bacteria faster? Excuse my length here,I could talk forever. Thanks for your time,Mark

Answer
All about composting on our website:  http://www.avant-gardening.com/composting.html

Like all things, experimenting is the only way to really answer your question.  Put in some regular compost, and blend some.  Put them side by side.... see what happens.  If it works better, do it again.  If not, don't.  Since I have never blended it, I don't know!  I would think it might be a great idea.... but I don't know for sure....so you can let me know!
