-----Question-----
I have an indoor pool area with a large planting bed filled with tropicals. I have noticed a sticky substance on the leaves of one of my banana plants. I like the idea of organic, especially indoors. What should I do to take care of this problem. Will washing the leaves with soap and water be the best solution? or would this be just a temporary fix? You have helped me before and I find your advice very usable. Thank you, Joan

AnswerHi Joan;
did you not find an answer on that site?
This is strange.
I received only notice in my email that there was a question, and it was not this one.
I get very confused at some of the things this site does.LOL
It could just be the natural sap from the tree.
I had a banana tree in my back yard, when I lived in Houston, back in the 50s, but it never had anything like that on the leaves.
Do the leaves that have it seem to be stressing?
If not, I would just try washing it off, and then see what happens.
