QuestionI have lived in this house 2 years. I have washed off with spray cleaner using a papaer towel egg like clusters every week during the warm months. Each cluster may be orange, black, beige or tan. what are they? They also apear on my metal garage door and awning. North Carolina
AnswerThese are eggs of different moths. Here (Alabama) will have a cream color eggs mass that is from army worms and usually three weeks after we start seeing eggs we see army worms in the grass. Different colors would mean different species of moths--some of the resulting caterpillars will eat grass, weeds, etc. It is very difficult to ID the species from the egg masses.
