Hi Jack
  I have had many potato bugs in my upstairs bathroom for years. They seem to be coming from up in the attic. There is no foliage around, just the upstairs wood and blown in insulation.  I do not know what they are eating but they certainly are eating something because I have dozens of them every year.  Two questions: how do they live with no foliage??  what can I put down and where to get rid of them??  Many many thanks Jack   Norm

There are several different insects that are called "potato bugs". Could you post a picture so I'm sure we are talking about the same thing. If you can't post a picture in a follow up, describe it and we'll figure it out.
