close pic Jack,

I attached another close picture of the sticky things at the bottom stem of the flowers and on the buds (till this time, all buds are dropped). Please let me know whether there is something seriously wrong. What should I do next?

This exudate is not from aphids, at least I can't see any. Here's an article about aphids with a picture http://www.livingwithbugs.com/aphids.html for comparison. I think the problem is roots, either disease and/or too much water.
