Question
bud drop
Hi,
I bought an orchid one week ago. It bloomed ok but the top buds kept dropping one after another. I lost three buds within one week. I don't know whether my house is too warm for it or not. I noticed that there is something looks like dew and sticky on the buds and a little bit on the leaves. I am wondering whether it has disease. I attached a pic of my plant. It is a cymbidium jm hybrid orchid.

There's no evidence of aphids in either of the pictures. I'm not an orchid expert but usually when plants exude sap it is because of excess root pressure, possibly because of a root disease or too much water. It looks like the plant is sitting in a plastic pot. Is the soil able to dry out between watering? It may be just too wet.
