ANSWER: Martha,
These are not bed bugs. These are some kind of weevil (beetle) and my guess would be a grain or seed weevil. Here's an article about bed bugs with a picture http://www.livingwithbugs.com/bed_bug.html for comparison.
These weevils are probably emerging from some kind of grain or seeds stored in the room. One common but overlooked source is seeds used as fillers in certain bag-toss games. These cloth bags are filled with seeds that are sometimes infested with these weevils. Once you locate the grain simply dispose of it, or heat it to at least 140 degrees, or freeze it for several days.

QUESTION: Oh thank god. I don't know why i only see them on my bed. I have since done a very good cleaning and have not found any food, or bean bag kinda stuff. Is there anything else that they might be attracted to?
Thinking they are bed bugs has really been scary.
Also thank you so much for responding. If you were anywhere close by, i would hug the pants off of you!
AnswerYour "thank you" is enough, thanks. These beetles are not being "attracted" to the bed but rather are emerging from somewhere near the bed. Again, check around and under the bed. Even a small cache of grain or seeds could produce an infestation. Rarely, the grain is inside a wall carried there by a rodent. Have you heard mouse sounds inside the walls?
