how do i get rid of scales? they appered on my sheffleras and monstera.

Scale insects occur in two different stages - the crawler and adult. The small crawlers are able to move around and are relatively easy to control with insecticidal soap but the adult stage is generally very difficult to control because it settles in one place and covers itself with a waxy covering.
