Question
What can I use this winter to stop the mice from eating large areas of grass while insulating themselves under the snow.  I believe they might be living in the mulch beds until they need more warmth and then eat large clumps of my grass over the winter.  I'm looking for something to bury in my mulch beds right now.

You need to control your vole population.

Visit http://icwdm.org and learn about your options. There is essentially nothing you will be able to bury that will solve this problem, unless you pave your yard. (Something I don't recommend but it will work).

Do you have a bird feeder on  your property? next door neighbor? More food =more animals.


You are to be commended for trying to proactive here. That is unusual, in good way. :)
