Question
I live in Washoe Valley Nevada.  After 5 years of living on our 1 acre property we have a  new pest.  It mainly digs in dry areas of my property, mainly our gravel driveway.  We notice every morning about 20 new little holes dug.  It's strange because we have lots of grass, but the pest has only dug a couple times on the edge of the grass.

The hole is 2-5 inches deep, about 2 inches wide, the tailings are scattered.  

We have lots critter visit our yard...  Rabbits, squirrels, quail.  I know it's not the squirrels, they are an even bigger problem all over the property.

HELP!!!

My guess would be skunks. Images would help especially distance shots and then close up with a ruler in the photo to show scale.
