We have a problem we have a couple of chipmucks that has dug a hole in the side of our house, now what we want to know is what damage can they do to the inside.

Rodents chew on things. One of the things might be electrical wiring insulation. Homeowner insurance typically does not cover damage resulting from rodents. If the rodent causes a fire, it costs you your home! Insurance won't cover it,  Rats are notorious wire chewers. I'm not sure about chipmunks. But do you want to risk that?

Aside from that, think fleas...
