Question
Hi, I'm in london, England. I have been growing salad veg, i.e. rocket,various lettuce etc in pots and recently all the leaves have started to develop small holes with brown edges in the middle, unlike slug attack at the edges and no sign of catapillars. The pots are not next to each other. We have a had a dry summer but these are well watered every day. Any ideas?  Many Thanks, Clifton

I would suspect aphids or whiteflies have infested the plants. To control these insects, spray the plants with insecticidal soap or pyrethrum. Both of these insecticides are organic and can be applied up to the day of harvest.
