Question
Just read an old answer you gave about raccoons and cat doors.  That does it, I'm staying up tonight to kill it or stun it with a paintball gun.  I don't want my cats to get sick and I didn't know the sickos work in groups.  Ack!  Do you know if Texas laws prohibit shooting of raccoons in your yard?

Answer
I am not aware of texas law on paintball guns. I would suggest that given safety considerations and with awareness that the antigun lobby is very strong that you think long and hard about what you are planning to do. Even if it was legal, legality does not always equal wisdom.

Why not just stop using the cat door? Keep your cats indoors. Free roaming cats are a menace to the environment. You would do nature a great favor by keeping them indoors. There is even fencing that can be installed to allow your cats to roam the yard without harming wildlife.

Nevertheless, if you must remove the raccoon. I would suggest that you visit http://icwdm.org there is information there on raccoon control.  There are also links there on finding state information and laws.
