Plant Eating Rabbits

Question
Help!  I live in Las Vegas suburbs, and the rabbits are starting their own town.  I just had some gazania's, lantana and verbena planted.
One day later the gazania's are down to the soil, the verbena have no flowers, but foliage, and the lantana are unharmed.  My question, what plants (desert) won't those little guys eat, and what can I use to repel them?    Thank You,  Barbara

Answer
The easiest solution is to fence your garden.  Repellents rarely work as well as homeowners would like. Sorry, but there is no magic in this field. If it sounds easy, it usually won't work. Don't bother with ultrasound either. If you can't hear it, neither can they.

I would think that cactus would be one type of plant or plants with thick sap, that they would avoid. You can learn more at http://icwdm.org/handbook/mammals/CottontailRabbits.asp

Unfortunately, I don't have a list of rabbit resistant plants. but I am looking to develop one. The problem is people want rabbit proof. They don't understand that when a rabbit faces starvation and eating something it doesn't like, it eats what it doesn't like.
