Question
We currently are experiencing a problem with ants in and outside of our home.  They are the very small type that some people refer to as 搒ugar ants?or 損iss ants?  Someone told me that you should approach them in two ways.  One is inside the house by the baiting method and the other is outside the house especially around the foundation.  Can you give me your suggestions on what is the best method and what is the best products to use for extermination these ants?

when i was a kid we always called pain in the butt people piss ants. i always wondered where the term came from. i thought it had something to do with urine and ants?
ants are the #1 pest problem in NJ almost every year.
your friend was correct.
bait traps(ant hotels) are good in that the ants will take the poison back to the colony hastening their demize. that's especially true when ants are searching for food.
spraying along the foundation is going out of favor due to pretreatment long term pollution problems. i would recommend spraying areas on your foundation where you see ant trails(live ant runs) as you see or discover them.
the newer added solution is to get liquid traps(sold where ant hotels are sold) and put them in the house where you see live ants(usually kitchens and bathrooms). usually ants in these locations are looking for water(not necessarily food). these liquid traps kill the ants where they are drinking, thus adding an additional way to stem the tide of ant invasions.
