Do you know of any home remedies for treating bores?  I have a large number of aspens in my front yard and the cost of commercial applications is prohibitive.

I would recommend you buy an insecticde for borers. The lastest one is called Onyx. If you can find it Dursban works well also. Check with a garden type store and ask for an insecticide for borers. They are mixed with water and are sprayed on the trunk as far up as you can reach. Esay and safe for the homeowner to do.

OK I am not sure what you mean by "Home Remedies"? You as a home owner can use insecicides around you home. But if you are refering to non-chemical type controls, I know of none that work on borers. I still suggest going to a garden type store and buying an insecicide for "borers" and mixing it with water and spraying it on your trees yourself.
