In the last few days I have noticed large white spots appearing on the trunks of my oak trees. There appears to be a greenish color in the spots and there is no bark where the spots have appeared. Can you please tell me what this could be and if there is anything we can do for them?

This may be a condition called "smooth patch". Google this for some images to compare. There appears to be a fungus associated with smooth patch, but it is my understanding that it has minimal, if any impact on the overall health of the tree.
