QuestionI have planted 4 Apricots over the past 5 years and all of them have died. The leaves wilt... over the whole tree.. and once that happens, there's no helping them. Before that happens, there is no sign at all that there is anything wrong, they're actually appearing to grow rather well up until that point. If I remember correctly, they have all died in either June or July. I currently have two more Apricot trees planted and I would really like to have them grow. Any suggestions or thoughts about how to make that happen?
AnswerHi Kathy, Most important is that you are in the right zone for the Apricot. Two you may be over watering, make sure it has good drainage. Do not always water on top of your plant as it may be still wet, but the sides around it could be dry. Water around it so the roots will go to the water, alternate. Depending where you live you may need to water a few times a week for a good month to make the roots grow. If could use a product called atomic grow to bring your plant to the best health and help the roots grow to get it really established. It is totally organic and can be used on all your plants. kathy
