QuestionI found "tan" lemons on my tree, meyer lemon, in No Calif, full of lots of good lemons higher on the tree. The bad ones were all on one side at the bottom branches. This tree is close to the ground and at the side where this occurred is next to a fence. It has been foggy for a week and very warm (70 degrees) before that.
I am worried it is disease...do I need to cut more back or treat it? or could this just be from an earlier frost-but wouldn't that more likely be on top of tree? Thanks so much for volunteering your expertise. Elizabeth
AnswerElizabeth:
Consider collecting 2-3 representative "bad" lemons and carry them by one of your local nurseries/garden centers and letting them look at the problem. They may have a better feel for the issue and can actually have "victum" to look at. I am assuming the leaves and other portions of the tree are OK.
