Question
chilli plant
Hi Ms Melissa,
I've given some fertilizers to my chilli plant and gave it
as much sunlight as possible. However, the leaves are still
paling and dropping. How should I remedy the issue? The
plant is currently flowering now.
AnswerDear Alfredo, This chili plant shows little branching and is fairly "leggy" so it appears that it still isn't getting enough light. See if there is somewhere that you can add a grow light for the chili plants. They need a lot more light than most plants since they usually grow in hot all day sun. Most of your other chili plants seem to be very healthy, so if this one doesn't perk up, I might consider discarding it to make room for one that is more productive. Occasionally, even growing them outdoors, I will get 5 or 6 plants, and most of them will do great and give me a lot of peppers, then there will be 1 or 2 that won't grow well, and sometimes won't even produce a single pepper. If feeding them won't work, I just pull them out and plant a few more. I hope this advice helps you. Good luck, Melissa
