QuestionMy eight year old cleveland pear tree has about one-third limp branches. The leaves, other branches, and trunk look normal. The limbs became limp during the summer, but were normal in the spring. What is the problem?
AnswerEd:
I am not aware of a particular disease/insect that may cause this. Has the tree done this before? Has it been very dry this summer at your location- maybe water might be an issue. Check the trunk for any evidences of physical damage to the bark. Also, check the roots for any damage as well.
