QuestionI have two Meyer lemon trees and I just recently brought them indoors. I have them by a window but the leaves seem to be turning yellow and falling off. also the flowers seem like they are getting weaker. if thats not bad enough I have noticed a REPULSING smell coming out of the bottom of the pots when I water them. I even saw this slimy slug thing once...but everything else seems to be fine with the trees. my biggest question is...what the heck is that smell? (both pots) and how do I stop it (is it hurting plants?)...the second question is...what do I do to keep my "trees" alive indoors through winter?
Answer Hi Ali, I have a feeling you have a dish under your plant to collect the water so not to make a mess on the floor. If you do your plant is rotting. A plant after 15 minutes after a drink needs it removed from the dish below so it does not rot. Or you have bugs on your plant and need an insecticidal spray to rid them. I suggest Atomic Grow to bring your plant back to health as it is organic and can be used without poisoning your fruit. kathy
