sick palm tree
I have enclosed photos of my sick palm trees. Wondering if they will make it. My landscaper told me to treat them with peroxide then a liquid copper fungicide and a palm nutrition spray. It has been approx 2 weeks I cannot see any difference but maybe it takes a while. How do they look...what do you think. Thanks so much in advance for your help.
AnswerHi Shelly,You have to keep adding the peroxide to the palm top to kill the fungus. Copper can ultimately cause a copper problem. A nutritional spray will also help. There is a product called Atomic Grow that you will shoot the spray up into the top of the palm, then spray the trunk and even add some to the soil and water it in. It will raise the brix or sugar content in the tree and make it healthy again with out poison. If you have made it this far as long as you keep it up it should come out of it as long as we do not have a freeze like this year again. kathy
